1st blog for staceysstudio

Hello,
I just set my blog up! It is New Years Eve 2008 soon to be 2009. A good omen to start this night, don't you think? I have always wanted to "BE" an Artist and this blog is going to help me become one! I recently attended a workshop with Carol Marine at the Coppini Academy of Fine Art. She spoke to us about doing a small painting ( 6x6) every day in order to improve our artistic skills. Nothing like practicing to improve and become your best, right? Also, doing small means you don't us a lot of paint and you can finish in a short time frame. This Blogging will help me to meet my goals to paint every day. I am hoping it will help hold me accountable. I will also have a "diary" to look back on and be able to see my improvement along with my mistakes. I am very excited about the learning potential of this Blogging. I will then put my little paintings up for sale on Ebay. That is the scariest part. Putting myself out there...open to criticism and rejection. The other side of that coin is that I will also be open to praise and gratification that someone may like my work, that it may bring a smile or a strong emotion to someones soul!
I do want to hear from you but please leave positive feedback, constructive criticism , something I can learn from. Even if you are not an Artist, please tell me if you like the painting or not and why.
